A very rare Pocklington clock as Yates was only working in Pocklinton for a short time, Very few known to exists. A quality longcase clock by Yates of Pocklington.
The oak and mahogany case with cross banding and mahogany oval inlay to the door, original patina and very good proportion.
The enamel dial has blue steel hands with seconds dial and Arabic numerals, the painted corners depict the four seasons and painted in the arch Lady Hamilton watching Nelson’s flagship.
The 4 pillar movement is of 8-day duration, strikes the hour on a bell
